So, “journalists” at the Ferret have run another hit piece on myself and Simon about our involvement with local community councils. I put the quotation marks around the word journalist because these chaps are about as journalistically qualified as myself, never leaving the house to do anything remotely journalist esq. Instead, they sit online, getting upset that people with sensible beliefs are making progress.
Anyway, their latest hit piece smacks of sheer desperation. Unhappy that we have a voice in society and upset that we haven’t been booted from our community councils (for doing nothing wrong, I should add), the “ferrets” have contacted our local MSPs and asked them to step in. They only want voices who agree with them to be allowed a say in how communities are run. In other words, these people are the bigots they claim we are. Funny how that works out.
In Scotland, community councils are apolitical. The elected councillors who come to the meetings represent their parties, but in general, it’s all geared towards what is best for the local community. People in my CC are members of political parties, and that’s fine, as we don’t discuss party politics, just local issues. The odd thing is, if I were a far-left nut job, a card-carrying communist, member of the YCL, there would be no issue here, no story. This is about something other than the broken rules, as none have. This is about attempting to silence people with a different opinion.
So, what of the local MSPs? Well, predictably, they agree. Democracy for me, but not for thee. And who are these defenders of people’s right to speak?
Well, Dave Doogan, the MSP who represents Angus and tried to get the public to pay his speeding fine back in March this year, has contacted the chief exec of Angus Council to get them to investigate. It’s “deeply concerning” to Dave that someone in the local community has a different view than him. This MSP, who clocked up a staggering £250,551.26 in expense claims in 2021/2022, says that “membership of a far-right organisation is incompatible with the aims and ambitions of any community council.”
Specifically, the ‘far right’, of course, Dave would have no issues having a full-on Marxist with a copy of Chairman Mao’s Little Red Book going to every meeting. He then blunders, “These hard-working organisations are there to represent and promote the views of all elements of our communities, not select sections.”
Oddly, he would say this because, if we follow his words here, my views need to be promoted, not just those that agree with him. But in reality, he only wants people who agree with him to be involved, and the idea that someone with a different opinion has a say is beyond the pale for him.
Next, we have the wonderful Maggie Chapman, MSP for the Greens. The woman who, if she had her way, would give 8-year-olds the option to change gender. Eight year olds!!! Yes, this woman is genuinely a danger to children and clearly on the far left. But that’s okay. You can be as far left as this lady in politics with extreme views, and it’s all fine. But if you are on the supposed “far right,” that can’t be allowed. People like me are extremists, wanting to keep our homelands run by our people, for our people, a bit like Chapman’s native Zimbabwe. According to Chapman, who doesn’t know me and has never asked me about my politics, “extremism” is at the core of my worldview. Yes, I’m extreme for wanting trans stuff taken out of schools and immigration to be controlled rather than be an open-door policy. I want the building of turbines in our countryside to stop, along with the felling of millions of trees and the habitat destruction it causes.
I don’t want developers to build new housing estates throughout our shrinking countryside. I want incentives for people to have families and genuine support for people trapped in the world of substance abuse. I want criminals here from other lands removed and returned home. I want the police to properly investigate and prosecute the grooming gangs that blight our isles.
How is any of that extreme? These common sense things are extreme to someone like Chapman, who is way off to the left.
And finally, we come to Angela Constance, a woman who was once, briefly, the minister for drugs policy in Scotland in 2021. It is the same Scotland with the worst drug deaths in Europe. What a great job the SNP seem to be doing. Like Dave Doogan and Maggie Chapman, she believes anyone who doesn’t think like her shouldn’t get a say in how their local community is run. She has asked the local chief exec to investigate as well. She says the allegations are “worrying.” Worrying, people are taking an interest in their local community and giving up their free time to improve things. Oh, the horror.
The real issue these people have is that our voice is being heard. Now, if we were a bunch of misfit extremists, that voice would carry no weight, and anything we said would be dismissed as crazy. There would be no story, no attempt to get us removed from these councils. MSPs would surely ignore us if this were fine for them. But these people are motivated by fear. Because we aren’t extremists, we aren’t criminals, and we don’t think it’s okay for children age 8 to change their gender.
We are just ordinary people talking common sense, which resonates with other normal people. We are everyday people taking a genuine interest in our community and have the drive and passion to make changes that other familiar people want. And that panics them. They fear actual opposition. They fear honest debate. They fear questions and answers from the public. They fear everything that an honest politician should embrace. And they fear losing that easy £67,662 a year basic, expenses, and second jobs.
These people are not in parliament to represent the people. They are in the halls of power to tell everyone what they can do and say. They are in control to tell everyone how they should think.
This is why EVERYONE unhappy with these people in power should be following us onto community and parish councils up and down the land. The elected MPs and MSPs have nothing but contempt for you, the working class. Your wants and needs are of no interest to them. They don’t believe in democracy. They don’t want you to have your say.
So it’s about time you had your say. It’s about time you got involved with your local community and started making a case for the working-class men and women these elected officials have forsaken. All it takes is a bit of effort, a bit of involvement and some minerals. There are men and women the length and breadth of our nation that can make a change, push the pendulum back, and give us a bright future.
Get into your local community councils. This is where the political solution begins. The people in power know this. Their overreaction to two men being in community councils in Scotland shows this. There’s no excuse. If you want a better tomorrow, get involved today; if you need to learn how, ask us at the Homeland Party. We will point you in the right direction.
(Editors note)The Homeland Party is committed to being open about our activities and members. This also shows that rags like the Ferret are not serious newspapers and are nothing more than gossip merchants. Below is a publicly available video that introduces our councillors.
