The Tory’s hypocrisy on illegal immigration

“It’s OK when we do it” should be the official motto of the Tory party. Woe betide any member of the public who tries to replicate their dirty habits, however.

So, what are they hypocritical about now?

In the latest development of the “rules for thee, not for me” saga, two men have been arrested over a lorry illegally carrying migrants aboard a ferry in East Sussex. One was held on suspicion of people smuggling, and the other on suspicion of entering the UK illegally. As of Saturday, 17th February, one of the men has been charged, although which one remains unclear.

Now, let’s make one thing clear straight off the bat. Illegal entry into the UK is a serious crime, and those who attempt it, as well as anyone who assists it, should face the full weight of the law. Many politicians will publicly echo this sentiment, but if they represent any of the major political parties, their words are hollow. As nationalists, secure borders and an end to immigration are core values of the Homeland Party, which is why we are the first to push for an immigration referendum. We believe, therefore, that if these two people are found guilty, they should receive appropriate penalties.

So, while we certainly support criminals being brought to justice, it is the two-faced nature of stories like this which are, put simply, sickening. For several years now, the Tories have wilfully turned a blind eye to thousands of migrants arriving illegally, be it via lorries or dinghies. They usually arrive with little to no documentation or vetting, effectively disproving the government’s claims that they are refugees.

Make no mistake. This is not incompetence on the government’s part; their insistence on five-star migrant accommodation should put to rest any doubts that our “culturally enriching” guests are being welcomed with open arms and a red carpet.

In no uncertain terms, then, the government is guilty of assisting illegal immigration. By their laws, the complicit politicians should receive custodial sentences, but they won’t. Strange, isn’t it, how their rules conveniently don’t apply to them?

In case you’re wondering, is this Rishi Sunak finally getting tough on immigration, as he promised last year? You’ll have to temper that optimism. As I’ve mentioned in previous articles, the Torys love to talk big on immigration when their popularity is in the dumpster, as it is now.

They are fully aware that the British public wants an end to immigration; even the establishment-friendly YouGov has had to admit that, as of February 2023, almost 40% now rank it as the biggest problem the country is facing (and you can bet your life the true figure is higher than that). So, stunts like this become the order of the day to try and dupe the public, yet again, into thinking that the Tories are getting everyone under control.

“Stunt” is a prudent word to use in this case. For one small group of migrants, several police cars, ambulances, and Border Force were in attendance. Throw in the media, too, with their cameras and drones, ready to capture one or two women and children in a sea of adult male migrants so we can see just how serious the government now is.

Don’t be taken in by all this theatre.

It should be clear now that the major political parties will never put their people first; instead, they will prioritise those with no legal right to be here and no ancestral ties to the country. It’s high time for a fresh approach to politics, and the Homeland Party is the only one which fits the bill. We are the only true nationalist party and the only party of any kind prioritising our communities’ needs above all else. We are also the only registered party who will put an end to immigration.
