Yesterday, the Homeland Party surveyed Buxton locals to determine if they wanted migrants housed in High Peak Halls.
The University of Derby is determined to turn its halls of residence into migrant accommodation, which could house almost 300 migrants – this would be in a town of just 20,000 people! After initially withdrawing the application after pushback from the locals, the university has since resubmitted it.
77% of locals say no to migrants being housed in High Peak Halls, with 11% undecided and just 12% in favour. So, the results speak loud and clear: the local people don’t want migrant housing in their town centre, but Derby University doesn’t care – they want the money on offer thanks to Tory open border policies.
