A man who was removed from his role as Scotland’s first “period dignity officer” has appeared at an employment tribunal hearing.
Jason Grant is suing the partnership that hired him last year on the grounds of sexual discrimination.
His role was created to ensure the legal right to free period products in public places. Grant’s appointment sparked heated debates online, with some critics branding his appointment “ridiculous” and many others saying the job should have gone to a woman.
The partnership responsible, a collection of colleges and councils in the Dundee area, have claimed people have been threatened and abused.
Were the Homeland Party in power we would see to it that ladies do have access to sanitary products in public places as this is right. Under the Homeland Party there will be no need for a “period dignity officer” as councils will be curbed from making up jobs (for the boys), and universities and colleges will be asked to keep their noses out of political life.
