Cllr Roger Robertson joins the Homeland Party.

We are delighted to announce that Councillor Roger Robertson from Hampshire in the South East of England has joined us at the Homeland Party. Roger is now the eighth member of our team to lead by example in his community.

Roger has always been a positive campaigner in his local area and has been a consistent advocate for social cohesion. However, he strongly feels that with over 10 million people now resident in this country who were born elsewhere, this is a challenge that can only be addressed through Nationalism.

Roger and the Homeland Party believe party politics should be parked at the door when it comes to Parish Councils. Our councillors work for the good of the communities we live in, first and foremost.

At a district level, Roger has previously contested his local ward as an independent, finishing second with 22.8% of the vote and pushing the Liberal Democrats into third place. This coming May, he will be one of our first official Homeland Party candidates calling for local people to be put first in the allocation of housing.

Roger has a long history of involvement in patriotic politics and is well-known in the South East for his determination and drive. His decision to join the Homeland Party shows our vibrancy and unifying presence as the country’s only hope for sensible Nationalism that delivers success.

The following is his Parish Council profile:

“Cllr Roger Robertson has been a resident of Hartley Wintney all his life with his mother’s family going back generations in the village. For over 11 years, Cllr Robertson has been a Councillor, acting as a representative on Full Council, Environment & Amenities and Planning Committees.

Cllr Robertson spent his working life in telecommunications and ran his own business for 20 years before his retirement. For Cllr Robertson, the importance of community is embodied in a socially cohesive village in which there are plenty of clubs and pubs for meeting places, which allow people to come together and connect.

Cllr Robertson strongly believes that the commons and ponds are our legacy, and they should be the responsibility of the Parish Council as they were for generations under the old HW Rural District Council. Furthermore, Cllr Robertson recognises the need for housing to ensure that we can provide housing for future generations and that social housing is available for local people.

The village will have no future if we cannot provide housing for future generations, and social housing should be available for local people.
In his leisure time, Cllr Robertson contributes to local clubs and is a member of the golf, football and cricket clubs.”

Roger’s latest community efforts feature in a two-page spread for his parish magazine. He took the lead in regenerating vital ponds and ditches in his parish, which will be a benefit to the wildlife, the environment and the community.
