Just when everyone had got down off their high horse and put the metaphorical daggers away it would seem that there are those at the BBC who are getting ready to chuck Huw Edwards under the bus.
Despite Edwards’ wife pleading for privacy, the BBC have ramped up their investigation into the presenter, an inside source has confirmed.
The Guardian newspaper has been informed that despite the outpouring of support after the police had concluded he had no case to answer, BBC journalists, including Victoria Derbyshire, continue to investigate the allegations around the presenter.
Well, what a tangled web of intrigue and seediness dear old Auntie has weaved. One minute, we are baying for blood, next minute, Huw is stunning and brave. Now it looks like blood again! One thing is for sure, this story won’t go away. Crime or not, it would seem there are still enough people left at the Beeb with enough morals to be outraged by Edwards’ shenanigans.
