Foreword
Building on our previous works, Nationalism Explained and Mythbusting Migration, the Homeland Party is the only party in the UK putting out well-researched, sensible, and most of all complete policy on immigration. Our solution is remigration.
Remigration is a concept that is already understood on the Continent. There are books and serious discussions in European languages about what it means and how it can work. But in the English-speaking world it is often misunderstood and frequently misrepresented.
What we have done here has never been done before. For the first time, we have fully elucidated the idea of remigration, both in theory and in practice, aimed at English speakers and in a UK-specific context. We hope our partners in Europe, who have not yet published remigration policy, will take concepts and inspiration from this work and craft similar plans for their own countries.
Quite unlike other parties in the UK, rather than tie ourselves in knots trying to arbitrarily uphold post-war liberal guilt narratives, we have tackled the thorny issues head-on, including citizenship. We do not, and will not, avoid the difficult questions. But we also do not produce “answers” that only work in a seminar room. We craft answers that are not only correct, but are pragmatic; the most able to be propagated, gain popularity, and ultimately be implemented, if not by us, then by someone in the future. That is the metapolitical purpose of publishing complete policy.
Is it perfect? No, of course not. Nothing ever is, especially on the first try. We have done the best we can with the data available to date, while knowing how the state likes to obfuscate or simply fails to record critical data. We regard our estimates as both provisional and cautious. There are many among us who believe key numbers are likely to be far higher, but right now we can only use the numbers available. As more data becomes available, and as our methods improve, we will update the document when needed.
This document is long (more than 20,000 words) and includes many ideas that are wholly new to British politics. We have put sections in the order we think they are best read, because some ideas are introduced in one section and expanded in another, assuming you have read the former. But of course you can read it how you like.
The whole document is hyperlinked. You can jump to sections by clicking the page number in the contents, or by reading the executive summary and clicking section numbers there, or by using the PDF viewer controls to jump to a page. Cross-references to sections, and links to other parts of our website, will also work, as will the extensive footnotes to third parties, although those sites are outside our control and we cannot guarantee they will remain unchanged. You also have options on the toolbar to zoom in/out, scroll, jump to a page, and download a PDF copy by using the button in the top right corner.
If you spot any genuine errors (not differences of opinion), the best way to tell us is by email to: [email protected]. Social media accounts are not a reliable way to report errors.
This is our material and is published for personal and non-commercial use, in line with our Website Terms & Conditions. We want you to take inspiration from it, share its ideas, quote where appropriate, link people to it, download it, and print it for yourself. It is not to be used for commercial gain without our permission and we reserve all rights.
We are more than happy for others to adopt our ideas and approach within their own political work. Where people draw on it, we kindly request that they credit the Homeland Party as the source of the idea or the research.
With all that said, please enjoy what we hope will be a pivotal moment in the history of immigration debate and policy, and an intellectual step forward for our people.
