It’s an exciting time to be a nationalist, as the European elections have shown a massive shift towards right-wing, conservative politics.
Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz’s parties, which control the EU’s two largest and most powerful countries, suffered major defeats to right-wing and conservative groups.
Macron’s Renaissance party lost heavily to the right-wing National Rally (RN), which stormed to victory, winning 30 of France’s 81 seats. Meanwhile, in Germany, Scholz’s Social Democrats recorded their worst result in a nationwide vote since World War 2, with just 13.9%—actually coming in third place behind the surging far-right AfD party and the conservative, Christian centre-right alliance.
Right-wing parties also saw success in other countries. Austria’s far-right Freedom party and Hungary’s Fidesz party both romped to victory over their rivals, while Italy’s Giorgio Meloni and her Brothers of Italy party consolidated its power, winning over a quarter of the vote.
The good news doesn’t end here. While the Netherlands’ far-right PVV Freedom Party came second in the elections, it was the biggest winner in terms of seats gained. This remarkable election result comes from one of the traditionally left-leaning countries in Europe.
Speaking of the left, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez warned fellow European centre-left politicians that “the very soul of Europe is at risk.” If he means the risk of returning sovereignty to Europe’s nations and a return to sane, sensible politics that puts its citizens first, he’s absolutely right.
For so long now, the “central left” European parliament has wielded absolute power over its member states, so why the sudden pivot to the right?
In truth, it isn’t as sudden as it might seem. According to Prof Marc Lazar of Sciences Po in Paris and Rome’s Luiss University, the European left has been in “bad health” for a while, noting a steady decline that began in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
It was around this time that certain nefarious tenets of the leftist ideology came to the fore of politics, namely uncontrolled immigration, erosion of freedom of speech, political correctness, identity politics, short-sighted “green” policies and wasteful spending, to name but a few. These may be popular with trendy young voters, but not for working-class families.
As the left-wing governments across Europe have stubbornly pushed ahead with their agenda with no regard for popularity, essentially breaking their economies and disenfranchising their voters, things are finally starting to come to a head.
This shift to the right comes as no surprise to the Homeland Party, which has always understood the priorities of the tax-paying, hard-working Europeans.
So, what do our European brothers and sisters want? An end to immigration, for a start. Countless undocumented migrants have been flooding Europe’s borders for years now, leading to an increase in crime, a rise in housing costs and a drain on public money and services. Not to mention, of course, the gradually changing demographics, erosion of their cultural identity and the blatant vandalism of our homogenous and peaceful lands.
They want their children to receive an education which will put them in good stead for a successful career, not to be politically indoctrinated and corrupted with transgenderism and all the despicable sexual material which has started to infiltrate school libraries.
They want sensible fiscal policies that benefit them, their infrastructure, and public services. They are sick of seeing their taxes wasted on five-star accommodation for migrants or the endless woke initiatives which benefit the tiny minorities at the expense of the majority.
They want their countries back, and the left is petrified of losing their power, which they inevitably will do in due course.
If all the above resonates with you and you long for Britain to correct its path back to normality and decency, support the Homeland Party.
Nationalism is inevitable in Europe; it’s the only system of government that wills its nation to succeed, and we are the fastest-growing nationalist party in the country.
We love our people, country and culture and will always put them first. We don’t want or need the manufactured identities pedalled by the left. Critical theorists can undermine our natural English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish identities by claiming these are ”imagined communities.” But if it’s a choice between a national community or an imagined multicultural unity, I know where I stand, and that’s with my fellow countrymen and women
